About This Site

This site holds a collection of essays short and long in length written under the pseudonym Mavi Gözler (Turkish for blue eyes).

Although the content for this site was developed before there was anything such as (we)blogs, because these essays and the wide-ranging subjects they treat were written by the common man on the street, me, the content of this site might be characterized as being a blog site. Properly speaking, it is distinct from a blog site.

As already indicated, the subjects in these essays are wide-ranging. They represent political and philosophical views of the creator of this site. They look at culture, society, religion. They typically focus on issues of importance to Americans and Turks, places where the author grew up for most of his life (USA) and where he has resided for a number of years (Republic of Turkey).

However the author has strong views about the present and the future of all humanity, so there may be something things of interest to all.
